Thanks!** A: by definition this is considered a full tang knife, meaning the tang extends the full length of the handle. some people are describing it as a rat tail but that isn't correct as a rat tail tang is large and round at on end and narrows down at the end. The tank of this knife remains the same throughout. The tang is the size it is because of balance and utility. These knives are made to the exact standards as they were during WWII. If it was good enough for the Marines to use in combat, digging trenches, opening crates and containers, then it should be good enough for anyone. **Q: does it come with a sheath? cause I see a sheath bundle option for some reason.....** A: Yes.
