It is casual yet elegant. There are some reviews claiming this dress runs large, but I believe it fits perfectly. If you would like this dress to fit snug to your body, then get a size down....but I believe this dress is suppose to just skim the body (I normally wear a large or a size 12). One thing that does seem odd about this dress...the sleeves are not finished (meaning the edges have not been sewn) which eventually could lead to the fabric becoming "undone". Usually Maxi dresses are way too long for me, I'm 5'3", but this hit the floor perfectly...which may create a problem for taller folks.
