Its great for people with a hard time seeing the numbers, which they have a big display and large dial pads. I may also add, its great with people hard of hearing which there is a adjustment to boost the volume up, super for people with difficulties with a hearing problem. Will post again when I have had the phone for some time like about 6 months or so, to new to say anything more about the phone since I had it only for a short time, but again so far its everything, I was looking for in a phone plus more and it is easy to setup, use and adjust the settings with a few presses of a button excellent.If I had to find a fault or a complaint with the phone it has to be the way the voice quality is kind of hard to understand which I don't like, it could have been better, but again anyone can find something wrong or dislike or something could be better about a phone system, but again, lets face it, you can't please everybody. I bought this phone mainly for it's large display and numbers. My mom needs a phone with large numbers and a big display because she is disabled. She is able to work this phone pretty well. She can see the time and the caller ID well also. One cool thing about this phone is when the phone rings an automated ladies voice comes on and tells you who is calling by what comes up on the ID! The first phone call we got kind of freaked us out because we didn't know it had that feature! Sometimes it is annoying, but if the phone is out of reach, it's nice to hear who's calling so you don't have rush to the phone to see who it is!The only "bad" thing about this phone is that sometimes the speaker phone cuts in and out when you're on it. We use the speaker almost every call for mom. But I'm not sure if it's my phone connection or the actual speaker itself. Some calls do it and some don't. We don't use the answering machine, because we have it through Comcast, but it's nice to have in case we ever change service. I've used the phone locater several times and that works well and is pretty loud to help you find the phone in the couch!Overall, a great phone. Good for elderly or disabled. Has some cool ringtones. I had bought one already for my mother abroad and loved it. It is easy to set up and use. The large buttons are very helpful. Tone quality is excellent. I would have liked to have more ring tones available but this is not so important. I disconnected the auto announcement when someone is calling as the names sound very distorted. Also, if you are set up for voice mail through your telephone provider and you prefer to use your answering machine instead, ask your telephone company to set ring times to higher (more than four times) than what your default on this phone is which is also four times. If you don't, your incoming call will go into voice mail. You can also have your voice mail disconnected altogether.
