This time I decided I would try a less expensive alternative. The heads I received appeared to be virtually identical to the Norelco heads I had been using for the past two years. Unfortunately, when I tried them they nearly refused to cut my beard. I had to push harder and nearly triple my normal shaving time in order to get close to a normal shave. When I put my old heads back in the shaver it was like having a brand set of heads in comparison! The difference seems to be the size of the holes and slots in the replacement heads which, upon close inspection, seem to be slightly smaller than those in the standard Norelco heads. My beard is may be slightly coarser than average but not by much. So, if you have a very fine beard these heads may work for you. If you have a normal to coarse beard don't bother buying these heads. I’ve replaced the blades before. These blades are worse then the blades I had on before. I’m not getting a smooth shave as I have before with a new set. In fact the 2 yr old blades I had on before were way better. Not very happy with the blades.
