Sure enough, Murphy's Law didn't let me down. My 3 ton heat pump unit stopped working on a 117 degree day in Phoenix, and the house quickly became stifling. Fortunately I had purchased the Migro 2 Pole 40 AMP Definite purpose contactor, 2 to be exact. I used one roughly a year ago, and I still have a back up in the event I need one. I inspect the contactor every year before it gets unbearably hot. So far the Migro contactor doesn't chatter, there's no slop, and it pulls in tightly when the coil is energized. I strongly encourage you buy one, or actually two. I have no regrets buying this two pack as the knowledge of having with a contactor in the event I need one is very reassuring.
