The glue isn't industrial grade so its not very durable and it actually rubs off like regular glue if its still cooling after applying, which i find odd. The stand is a little short and puts me on edge when i set it down because i can't be sure if it is going to stand securely or not. The wire is firm and is liable to tip the boat. It did come with a hundred glue sticks though so thats awesome so i wont need to buy any in forever maybe haha. I dont know how long you should leave this plugged in though because the exterior is some kind of plastic, that is probably heat resistance, but im not going to test it. The longest i used it for was an hour or two and it took at least 30minutes to start to melt the sticks. This is a nice product for the price, the additions it comes with, and the strength of the build. Id reccomend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little glue gun *by N***R on June 1, 2015* Great little glue gun. Used it for kids science project. First glue gun I owned. Came with 50 sticks which was good as it took 1-2 sticks to get the hang of it. to save glue stick between glues I would back the glue stick out a little so it didn't keep melting. I found if i laid it on the side it didn't run as much then if I used the little metal prop up clip.Its not a high end gun, but for small projects, home use, it great! I know I'll find many more uses for it now that I have one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small gun good for detailed work *by K***N on December 27, 2015* This gun is small, which is perfect for detailed work, and the reason I purchased it. It heats up in a couple minutes, and since it is small, is great for working on small items. I bought a $5 hair comb from Hobby Lobby for my wedding, and the pearls fell off when I opened the package. Not a problem, I plugged in the glue gun, and while it was heating up, peeled off the old glue and cleaned the comb, then was able to reapply a thin bead of glue to reattach the pearls.
