This resistor (when it burns through some wires) stops the blower from working hence no A/C or heater. I would rate this install along with a new harness as about a 6-7 for difficulty. But then of course if everyone else says it is a 30 minute job, it takes me 2 hours. GM knew about this problem and they did issue a recall. I purchased my H3T used with 113,000 miles. I put on another 8,000 so the Hummer had just 121,000 miles when it went South.
