Much smaller than I expected.Although not ideal, the sound quality was surprisingly good for the size of microphone (I have not tried using an external mic but I believe the unit has that ability). For the price this is surprisingly versatile. (I can't yet speak to any of the other functions like battery life and transferring files to one's computer).My only difficulty was the user interface: most of the buttons are small and so is the screen, plus I have to look at the instructions to replay my recordings. Big capacity can hold about 12 classes before I have to export them. The volume is normal and can increase if someone was quiet during the recording. I can see using this for a long time.Sound is crystal clear and mic is almost surprisingly sensitive I keep it on a low level when playing back just cause I’m not a total fan of my own voice but my dictations are so clear it’s like replaying a memory. Big thanks to the manufacturer I’m considering getting another oh and it’s pretty small like you could easily forget its in a pocket. I was impressed with the sound quality and ease of use for such a great price.
