Our very senior dog is content in the back seat for the duration. There are two loops that lock around the back seat head rests and two openings to use if you want to use the center seat belt. To clean it, just remove it and shake it out. You will need a leash that also loops around a head rest and attaches to your dog's body harness, NOT his collar.
