You can only mount the blade with the cutting sirface facing up or down. For tho option of flush cutting you wold have to go the dwe305. **Q: What country manufactured this saw?** A: I cannot check for sure as the saw is at our cottage, but I THINK it was either made or assembled in the USA. Sorry I can't be 100% - maybe someone else will be able to help. **Q: Does this saw come with a storage box or bag?** A: It comes with a box. **Q: Can the blade be turned 90 degrees, and is this feature only specific to dewalt reciprocating saws?** A: The blade cannot be turned 90d. The wood was too big to fit on my wee Shopsmith bandsaw, the cuts too heavy and extensive to go through the trouble of breaking all the blades required to do it by hand, so I bought this, with a set of the 12" blades. It was hard going at first, 'till I noticed I was also cutting through the handle of the vise. The blade never broke, did a beautiful job, like a handheld bandsaw. It was powerful and easy to control. Extremely adaptable, powerful and tough. Which is a good idea, since I now need to repeat the job with ash.
