I needed a pan so I had already purchased one from a local store but they sent me one anyway free of cost as a good gesture. This one is definitely much better than the on I purchased from the local store which was pretty much the same price. The new pan came in a very secure packaging - Box wrapped in bubble wrap and in another box. Pan was in-tact and is very good, It is heavy and works well. Very good heat distribution. I believe the first one a victim of poor handling during shipment. But kudos to their customer service to take a quick action and satisfy their customer. The pan itself looks good and heavy but pan's handle came in broken. It is still attached to the pan with a screw but the plastic part in between the handle and the metal is broken into pieces due to which pan is very wobbly. All the broken plastic pieces were in the bag in which the pan was packaged. The box is not damaged though. See attached pictures. Doesn't look like it was damaged during shipping as the box was not damaged. Pan was packaged in a small box which was then packaged in a larger box and both boxes were in-tact. I don't know if it is poor design or poor material (plastic) that attaches the handle to the pan. Or it could be a damaged piece from the factory and was packaged as is. A pity since the pan itself looks sturdy.
