Whoever installed the furnace did a horrible job custom making where our 12x20 filter gets installed... for the last 2 years while renting this home id literally fight and bend and twist the filters to get them in and getting them out was worse... THESE SLID IN LIKE GOD HIMSELF HAD HIS HAND ON MINE AND WAS HELPING ME (lol) i was so happy.... im usually in a horrible mood after trying to get the old filter out and new one in.... this filter saved my life and my strengthened my spiritual bond with my furnace!! ..... kidding aside, for half the price, delivered for free in like 4 days and installed with NO problems i couldnt be happier... I have one in back of a cheaper filter in my apartment and in a short amount of time I could see noticeable dust build up on it, so it's definitely catching a lot more particles than the cheap filter. However, the airflow seems to be a bit too restrictive, these filters have noticeably fewer pleats (folds) than a filter I would get at the hardware store. Work so well I was looking at replacing the filters after the first month from the amount of stuff it seems to catch compared to the name brand big box store filters. The price is great.
