He started running late in life, at a point when most others begin to stop. In his early life, he was farmer, a truck driver, a worker in this village's cement plant and for the past twenty years he has worked in a quarry in the same place where his now demolished childhood home stood. Running became his reason for living, and a form of revenge against his hard lot in life. At the age of 60 he became a World Champion by winning the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, the hardest and most competitive endurance race in the world, 2500 competitors, over twenty hours of uninterrupted running, 167 km (over 100 miles) around the tallest mountain in Europe. An almost unimaginable feat, where mental, physical, and personal motivation are fundamental. Despite his age, physical problems, and ever younger and more prepared opponents, Marco doesn't want to retire. With his wife Renata's help, he trains for a year, in an attempt to defend his title at the legendary Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc. Marco defies stereotypes of age and ability as he gives his all in a competition that could become the last of his career. Can he still do it? Though it is kind of a sad story, we love the look at Marco's life as a construction worker and who he is beyond his running. The music is also very inspiring as well. Review: Disappointed - I love these types of movies. I can watch them hundreds of times for the training, scenery, event, people, etc. But this movie started slow then went backwards from there. Really disappointed as it could have been special and drawn me in with the story. Oh well you can't win them all. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Customer Reviews | 3.8 out of 5 stars 6 Reviews | ## Images ![IL Corridore: Marco Olmo's Run of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/911aRWEWJDL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Touching *by J***M on December 12, 2013* We decided to carry this DVD in north america, because Marco is an amazing runner who is not well known over here in the US. Seems very solemn in parts of it. He was an amazing runner should have been more upbeat. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/1427374-il-corridore-marco-olmos-run-of-the-ultra-trail-du](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/1427374-il-corridore-marco-olmos-run-of-the-ultra-trail-du) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
