The velcro/'hook and loop tape' fastens quite securely. However, I'd be concerned with failure of the adhesive on which it is attached to. While the velcro may hold, depending on what you stick it to the tape itself may peel off, especially if the surface is outside exposed to rain/moisture/sun/heat. If the surface is porous or likely to eroded, it'll probably happen sooner. I've had mixed results; some smaller items I attached to exterior of house are still up while others fell off the first rain of the season...or thereafter. **Q: The latch on my glove box in my car doesn't work will this keep it closed** A: It's the strongest velcro I've ever seen or used and I would say yes as long as there is a lip in your glovebox to stick the velcro to ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As advertised *by on Reviewed in the United States October 6, 2026* Name brand, great quality, good price, and easy to order. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome hold! *by on Reviewed in the United States September 12, 2016* This stuff is strong! I suggest cutting smaller strips, then if the holding power isn't quite there, adding more. I've used this is a few spots, but my most recent was to add a removeable wooden back to a cornhole/bags set I'd made. I needed a place to store my bags, and used some 1/4" plywood with this velcro to create a pocket for them. Each bag is ~1lb, so all together, 8ish lbs. Three strips of 3" or so, and the bags don't come out even with a shake. I've also used these with some little plywood dividers I made to create cargo divider space in the back of my hatchback. This is effective and cheaper than buying the plastic ones available online (assuming you have plywood scraps handy of course haha).I like to use a box cutter to cut my strips, because the adhesive back can muck up my scissors. I like that they included a tiny piece of loop material to hold the roll closed, but I still store my roll in the box to keep it free of any dust or debris kicked up in my shop. There are so many uses for this stuff around the house, and I love the increased hold. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality *by on Reviewed in the United States August 7, 2026* Used to keep boat cushions secure.
