The original smokebuddy is a personal smoke filter. Smoke from a cigarette, pipe or the like releases dangerous toxins into the atmosphere. Exhaling through a smokebuddy reduces secondhand smoke and eliminates odor.

Review: interesting product - i'm not going too deep into this. a comparable device can be diy built from a bottle and dryer sheets. I scoffed at that concept until I witnessed it. It did not merely mask the smell, but eliminated any smoke odor. Smoke came out, and I smelled it in awe as it had no smoke smell. Smoke that doesn't smell like smoke. crazy. This is a heartier solution. Its built to last a while, and its worked under very limited use for at least a couple months now. If you indulge in such a way that allows second stream smoke, you will not be pleased. This only filters the smoke you exhale. Pipes can control second stream smoke if you learn to use them with that concept in mind. If you are smoking a paper cigarette, it will likely cut down on odor, but if you are aiming for all or nothing this will not mask your use of substances that produce smoke. If you are consuming paper cigarettes, that is. This is also good for vaping. Vapers will say that vape doesn't need filtering because there is no smell. This is not true. The smell is attenuated but also different and it depends on the vitality of the material you are using. I breathe in through my nose and exhale three times, so that no traces of smoke escape from my lungs nose or pharynx. Inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth, do not break contact with the device, press solidly into one's lips, and exhale. After 3 exhalations, I cap the mouth side of the device because a nominal odor is present on that side. It is weak, but it is there. In addition to this, if you still produce an odor, a successful technique is to get a skillet and put a teaspoon of olive oil in it and turn the burner on high. Or take an non stick oil spray and coat the burner in an oven and turn in on high. If using the oven be careful that carbon deposits due not catch fire. If they do, a little water will do just fine. This will vaporize the oil which has a very effective attenuative effect on smoke odors. This will not prevent long term odors, but its good in a pinch. It helps if you are known to actually cook, as many forms of cooking involve browning and blackening meats.

**Q: u still will smell the smoke if the joint is lit your just blowing smoke out ur mouth into the smoke buddy**
A: Just do what i did and go buy a green unscented candle and tell ur family its a “weed scented candle” and keep it in your room.. light that puppy up and puff away, mom may even come in the room and say wow that candle, it really does smell just like it!

**Q: how do you use this product**
A: T-Rav, 100% correct! 😂😂 I started doin that in jr high like 25 years ago!!!! This dude probably obably did and realized that he could market it... BUT! I bet the toilet paper cardboard n dryer sheets worked way better!

**Q: Is there any reason I would buy this over making a version out of "household products"?**
A: This product is made with activated carbon, the same material used in water filters. Activated carbon is microporous enough that it traps tar molecules when smoke is forced through it. This is how the odor is removed. It's much more effective than home made, but they cost quite a bit more. These are great if you really need to reduce smell, reduce tar residue, or have someone in the vicinity with lung sensitivity. Otherwise, if you don't absolutely need to eliminate the smoke entirely, you may find home made products more accommodating to your wallet.

**Q: Does it run out?**
A: It does run out, depending on use frequency. With daily use this only lasted one month, but again daily use. Also leave the caps open when you are done to dry out all moisture after use, that will extend the filter life.
