Acriflavine worked great but can stain clothes AND skin. Be careful using due to staining objects in your house and wash up good after dosing. I used for turtle shell rot. I did 100 percent water change and added 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons on first day, then 100% water change 7 days later and repeat dose wait 7 more days and do 100% water change no acriflavne then 7 days later another 100% water change and 1 last dosing. So 4 week treatment (third week no acriflavine). Shell looks remarkably better. It does make a huge mess though. Everything turns yellow. It's been weeks and the water is still yellow with several partial water changes. I don't think it stains though as it has come out of everything like the hose and the bucket. My turtle is healthy again! I wish they sold this at a local pet store. I'm fine with internet ordering, but this didn't have a Prime option, so I had to wait a few days.
