Review: Excellent for faux wax seals! - I purchased this wax to use in wax seals as a decoration and to close up my packages that I send out to customers. I don't use this as a true letter seal. It is not brittle like letter sealing wax, and will not break if tampered with. Instead, it is rather supple and is more likely to peel off whole than crumble or break. It is slightly more "oily" than letter sealing wax - it leaves a little more residue and oil bleed-through on the paper. This is not a problem for me because it is on the outside if the package for me, just holding the binding twine in place. It takes an image beautifully. I use my plain old metal letter seals with it with no problem. If the oily residue is a problem for you, I recommend making your seals on a piece of parchment paper, letting them cool, then peeling them off. You will be left with lovely faux wax seals. Add a bit of adhesive to the back, and you have instant wax seals to apply to any project. I will be purchasing again once my supply runs out. Can't wait to try the other colors too! Do I just dip the corked bottle neck into the wax? Do I have to worry about the cork com** A: I used it to seal my first year of wine we made. You just take an empty soup can and fill it with the beads. Set that in a pot of water and heat on the stove. Stir it constantly and it will melt. Once totally liquid you just dip the corked bottle neck down into the melted wax as far in as you'd like for aesthetic appeal. Do this in one smooth motion, as your arm jerking or the bottle moving back into the wax with disrupt the smooth look of the wax seal. It is a quick smooth motion. When you pull the bottle out totally turn it over spinning it as you flip and right side up. There will be a small trailer of wax that will drip off as you pull out. The spinning motion kind of swirls that on the top of the bottle and looks nice. **Q: How does this wax come off the bottles?. i want to reuse bottles and i dont want a bunch of was residue left on them.** A: I’ve used this product many many times and after you peel off the remaining wax all you need to do is wipe it down with rubbing alcohol and put the bottles in the dishwasher to sterilize and you are ready to reuse. **Q: How many bottles of wine would this do?** A: I used about half and did 51 bottles of beer.
