Review: Factory rotor - I put this in my 2017 Maytag Bravos XL dryer because my rotor had a piece crack and break off somehow. I could not get my rotor to come off so I had to take a hole saw and drill around the middle of the rotor and chisel it off. Then I pulled the motor out and got the stuck piece of rotor off the rotor shaft. Mine was actually melted onto a thread protector instead of being threaded onto the threads like it should have been!! So if you are having problems getting it off you may have the same issue. I had to take channel locks and a wrench and break the thread protector off, then I was able to install the new rotor. It fit perfectly then. It fixed the loud rumbling sound and the problems with venting I was having. Shipping was fast from this company as well. I received the rotor at the earliest of the projected shipping window. It was packaged very well. I am very happy with this purchase and it saved me a ton of money. I attached a picture of the thread protector that was on the threads and the factory rotor was melted onto this. So there was no way I it was coming off by turning it. Use a 1 1/8 hole saw attachment if you have to and do not use the drill bit as it won’t allow the saw part to go deep enough. I hope this review helps someone. Whirlpool could have installed a shaft lock from the front to alleviate 90% of disassembly, but wouldn't have mattered in my case. (plenty of videos on youtube) My old wheel had broken from the metal insert so there was no way to spin it off. I ended up having to cut it off. GREAT product! No more noise!! Let's see how LONG she lasts.
