For showering I use cotton wool (without vaseline, as this is too messy - tip : whether or not you are using these caps don't use too much cotton wool, any excess might pull water in) But using the cap I now shower with more confidence. Also since it's now a 2 step task, cotton wool AND cap, I can't really forget to 'suit up'. Before I've had to step out of the shower in a panic after forgetting the cotton wool. Even after 10 years ! While showering I do have to be careful not to knock the cap off, but this will happen only at the end while rinsing my hair, when I am almost finished. Whatever, now when I get out of the shower the cotton wool is dry ! Sometimes a bit tricky to get the cap ON my (longish) ear, but that will improve with practice.
