The whole wooden piece comes up in the back as you try to pull down with your feet on the black strap. Does absolutely nothing. I can't believe how much they charge for this thing that doesn't even stretch any part of you. Also, the "cushions" that are blue that you see in the photos on here is not what it comes with. You get these two white cheap styrofoam pieces for the shoulder cushions. "Should fix that" But now how does it work? Well I think it is great! I have had traction many time, I have had 2 neck surgerys, And I have acquired cervical dystonia that is a very painful muscle problem there are many forms of this dystonia and my pain is that my shoulders are pulled up towards my ears, I have looked for years to find something that will hold my shoulders down so I can get that stretch, if not held down they just go up so any other tractor with out the support of my shoulders held down Really doesn't work for me, and this has the best force of traction I ever used and holds shoulders down! The one bad think or criticism I would make is it does need better padding for shoulders, and it says costumer service hr, 8-5 , I did call and Dr. Did answer couldn't figured how to set it up, just had one ?;to ask ,and he kept on referring me back to watching videos, well if the video showed the correct neck stretcher , regarding the one you get that is not in the video, maybe it would be easier to figure out! So 5 stars for the traction if set up right, 3 for customer service, and the price could be a lot cheaper for what you get.
