A: no problem so far with phone getting hot/warm with this case... quite pleased with my purchase...

A: You have to put it on, but once you do, it does not come off... and all the little butterflies float around, which I did not know either. My wife loves it though!

A: Yes. But its nice

A: The case comes with the butterfly included. You don't have to put it. I put it on. I like it. I am not sure but I think you can remove it but carefully. I am looking at my case as I answer your question.  To me it looks like it can be removed, but carefully.  You may want to ask the vendor. The case is beautiful with or without the butterfly.
