Instead you have to pull pole apart to make it smaller ### ⭐⭐⭐ Buy a female to female coupler *by L***S on July 31, 2017* Ok. So here is the skinny. My package arrived damaged and taped up. After opening it, I realized that there were no instructions included. That being said it's not to hard to figure out how to assemble the pole, the brush and skimmer net are thread on. The vacuum is the tricky part. So as with previous reviews, the vacuums hose attachment will not work by itself with standard American hoses. The push in attachment has a male thread on it, same as the end of a standard garden hose. I purchased a $2 female to female hose coupler and connection was made. Once you do that, the vacuum works as intended. Matter of fact the vacuum itself is worth $24. I made some adjustments of my own as well.
