Everything matched my OEM power supply perfectly. Same manufacturer, model number, voltage, amps. etc. All wiring was exactly the same as well. Note - the OEM supplied wiring was tight... just long enough to reach the Hard Drive and DVD. This new power supply is exactly the same. Wire length is tight, but works just fine. Just removed the old power supply, and installed the new one. PC fired right up. Before, it was totally dead. No power, no fans, nothing. To troubleshoot the problem, I removed the old power supply and tried jumping it per instructions on the web. Again no power at all. Totally dead. Next I opened up the old failed power supply and saw at least 3 blown capacitors. The tops were raised and you could see brown leakage all over. So the power supply was the problem. The only thing I didn't know was whether or not the motherboard was affected. Thankfully, it wasn't because the new power supply fired up the pc perfectly.
