Review: This Is An Amazing Phone, Don't Fall Into The Trap Of Comparison Frenzy - After agonizing for months about which phone to buy, I chose to upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to a Pixel 3 toward the end of November 2019. I read and watched every possible review on the Pixel 3 and 4 and nearly went with a 4, but realized the Pixel 3 had everything I was looking for in a phone (and more) for a much better price than the 4. The following are a few things I prioritize in a phone and I hope hearing my experience will help you make your decision. 1. Obviously the camera is absolutely amazing. Pictures come out exactly how things look in real life, if not better. I've taken tons of photos since having this phone and love how pictures come out, even before editing them. 2. Battery life was a big concern of mine prior to buying the phone. Everything I read or saw online told me it was horrendous, but for me it works beautifully. I use my phone for the necessities and listen to music/podcasts for about an hour or two total throughout the day between YouTube, Pandora, and Spotify. I usually have about 10-20% left at the end of the night, and there are days I start at 5 AM. With that being said, I've realized battery life is extremely subjective based on how often you use your phone. For me, a non-heavy user, this phone works perfectly. 3. Processing speed is actually quite nice on this phone. Sure it doesn't have a 90 Hz display but how much does that affect my quality of life? Absolutely none. In fact, my quality of life is probably better not having it because it doesn't drain my battery. This is a pretty fast phone despite what people said about it "only" having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. I never find it lagging even with multiple apps open, although I don't play any games on my phone. It's very fast for the average user in my opinion. 4. Screen brightness has not been an issue at all for me. Many reviews told me the screen doesn't get bright enough, but it's pretty amazing and sometimes even too bright. The reviews I read typically showed the Pixel 3 side by side with another, brighter phone.. but how often do I use two phones simultaneously side by side? Never. So those comparisons are for comparison sake only and in real world use, the Pixel 3 has a beautiful display that is plenty bright. 5. Other things that made me go with this over other phones on the market at the time (iPhone 11 Pro, Pixel 4, Samsung Galaxy S10 or Note 10, OnePlus 7 Pro) were the fingerprint scanner on the back, the ability to save over 2 years (through January 2022) worth of original quality photos onto Google photos for free, the ability to seamlessly use Google software on my phone (drive, photos, Chrome, etc.), the customizability (from home screen to developer options), strong haptic feedback, and definitely price (got this for around $450 new). Since having it, I absolutely love it and don't see myself switching from Pixel to another brand for my next phone.. but that's hopefully several years from now so we'll see what happens. For now and for the next several years, I'm going to enjoy my Pixel 3 and all it has to offer.
Review: Great phone! - Straight Clean Android the way it was supposed to be! - Purchased to replace an aging Samsung Galaxy S7. Great design, easy setup, Transfering data from old phone to this one was easy and seamless - with the provided transfer cable. I bought a Spiegen Tough Armor case and an AMFilm glass screen protector which both also work great with the phone. OS: The entire user experience of the OS is so much simpler and nicer coming from a Samsung phone. There is NO bloatware or any extra junk preinstalled on the phone. I really like the google photos app and the cloud storage that came with this phone. The size is perfect for me - I don't need a huge display iphone XL or mini tablet-sized phone display. The call screening, blue light filter/ display settings, voice commands, and other software features that google integrates into the OS are well thought out and seem to work well. DISPLAY: Display is sharp and the color range is excellent with no issues - though it is not as bright as the Samsung S7 that I had previously - still no complaints as I've had no problems with the brightness of the display or color quality or detail. CAMERA: is great and the photos captured have all been excellent - also the low light photos are pretty spectacular. The fingerprint scanner on the back is really handy. It seems that Google has removed this in the Pixel 4 and upcoming 5 models. SOUND: Sound of stereo speakers is really something - it's much better than the conventional single speaker design of my previous phone and the rich deeper sound quality is right there. Phones are getting way too expensive these days so it's nice to see Google provide such great features into a phone that is not as expensive as the top price tier phones out there. All in all - a great phone - I do NOT need all crazy new features that seem to be consumer zombie catnip in every new phone model - I just wanted a solid no-nonsense phone that works.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome
*by V***C on December 29, 2019*

Got the pixel 3 over the 4 because of the finger print scanner. The front facing speakers are nice and full however there's a lot of vibration even at medium to low volume. The rear camera is amazing, pretty much the whole reason I got this phone. The front wide camera is ok, but it's fixed focused and not so great in low light. It feels good in one hand, and it's small enough where I can do most tasks one handed. The oleophobic coating is nice and super slick on the beginning, which kinda made it hard to long press but ive had it for a almost of couple of months now and it's feeling like it's wearing off. The screen still feels nice and it's easier to long press . Super great deal if you want high end specs even though it's last year's flagship. Wireless charging works on my portable charger. The assessories in the box are nice, USB c earbuds, USB c to headphone adapter, USB a to usb c adapter and rapid charger. Some quirks: wish there were more gestures or customizable gestures from sleep screen, like the flashlight. As mentioned before the front speakers vibrate. Some of the navigation gestures are annoying. I switched to Nova launcher to get a better swipe experience when opening the app drawer and recent apps. Battery sucks, I find myself charging more frequently, trying to maintain battery around 40-80%. The power and volume buttons are really robust, it takes a bit of effort to actually to press them.
