As pictured, these have elastic wristbands, which I happen to really like, but some may find annoying - that's just personal preference. The fit is generic & unisex, but is a bit on the smaller side in the chest/ arm region, so it's probably better to just be safe & order a size up like I did - then it covers you more anyway. For reference I'm ~ 5'4" & 125lbs & I ordered a size large which leaves me enough room to wear a bulky sweater underneath comfortably. I think a medium also would have fit, but wouldn't be as comfortable if I wanted to wear thick layers underneath it.
