The rubber had separated from the canvass upper. Likely because I threw them in the washing machine. I tried JB weld with no luck, and then marine epoxy, neither held.I used this, watched a couple videos, and the result was perfect.I Cleaned the area carefully with alcohol, available at any pharmacy. To clamp it, I put "shoe trees" inside and wrapped the outside glued area with masking tape. Let it dry, don't touch it for 24 hours. A bit of effort, but saved the shoes from the dumpster.
