As far as the video quality, it is not a huge upgrade, if you don't usually care about video quality that much, you may not even notice much of any difference, but it is an improvement. A small and sometimes even downright subtle improvement, but still an improvement nonetheless. You will see the most benefits from having the blu-ray if you have a large 4K TV, as DVDs don't tend to look great stretched out so far anymore. So I do recommend getting this blu-ray set, I snagged it for $10, a great deal for two great movies.
