First, they dont use real leather for straps. The straps are made out of this synthetic material that wears and breaks easily. I purchased a pair for my mom and she wears them on occasion. The strap broke and the soles have almost full tread still. We were walking around a mall when the strap broke. She had to go back through the mall with a broken sandal. Forget about Birkenstock helping you. They will tell you "each seller is independent" "you must contact the seller that you bought them from to see if they have a warranty plan". What a hassle. Seriously, I wont ever buy a pair of these ever again. Save yourself or the person you are buying the gift for some trouble, buy a different brand of $100 shoes that wont break on them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars I will order a smaller size. The sizes are so far off, I'm not sure how Birkenstock can keep claiming that size chart. We tried to go by the measurements they provide, but these were at least 2 sizes too large. Also--and this is on me--check to make sure you order from someone who offers free RETURN shipping if you are not absolutely sure what size you wear. I just assumed they were, which is the only reason I even ordered them from Amazon, and now I realize it's at least $13 to ship them back.
