They leave bristles on the canvas and are just basically a mess, a couple of the larger round ones have random uneven bristles that would need to be trimmed to be usable (do you know how to do that correctly? I don't.) They may be useful for things you use old mistreated brushes for so there is that. The darker bristled brushes are nice, they are soft and even and are working nicely but obviously I paid to much to only be able to use those few. You get 24 synthetic and natural bristle brushes, great for oil and acrylic painting. They come in their own canvas storage bag. There is a nice selection of different shapes and sizes.They hold the paint well, don't streak, and clean up easily. None of them left any bristles on the canvas which is a typical problem when buying brushes for such a low price. The wood handles were comfortable to hold and sanded and varnished smooth.
