    Amazon Should check their returns better.

I bought this generator thinking that it was an excellent deal from amazon warehouse (less than 1/3 the price of a new one!).  I could not have been more wrong.  As I examined the delivered generator, I realized that there was NO interior packaging inside to cushion the gen. during shipping.  As a result, it arrived with the corner plastic housing smashed and the choke knob broken and inoperable (rendering the generator unable to start- no choke-no start/run).  Thinking that this might be repairable, I opened the access panel and found that the gen. had had MANY hours put on it, but the exterior housing had been removed and replaced- giving an observer the impression that there was very little wear on it (This was further evidenced by the battery retaining strap being broken, the fuel line being yellowed and broken and the toolkit being wedged UNDER the frame!!!).  I promptly reboxed it (with better internal padding- lol!), and Amazon Customer Service promptly sent UPS to pick it up.  I sincerely hope that the rest of the return process (refund- they would not offer an exchange on a discounted item) goes as smoothly.  Buyer beware on this item marked, "Used-like new condition."

I received the unit with a bent chock knob and the air filter housing was broken in 3 spots, the unit is not shipped in a box so handling damage was noted as well. Over all I was able to make the repairs necessary because the price was so good. Also shows casters on the unit but mine did not come with them.
