The hair is soft, light weight, good color and bouncy. There are 15per looped pieces in each bag & 3per pack = 45 cruly strands. It's stretchy so keep that in mind. This is the 10inch and I didn't even do anything to it and you can see the length. I have about 5 packs (200 strands) in my head. I really didn't have to; it was over kill - so it's super full. You do not need to put anything on the hair but I do suggest putting some kind of oil/moisturizer on your scalp a few times a week. Fake hair gets itchy to me. A bonnet is all you need at night if that, you could sleep without one and the hair would be just fine.
