The problem is the compact electronic dimmers without the tri-arc chip (not sure I'm stating it correctly). Regardless, this magnetic dimmer has what is required to provide beautifully dimmed LED lighting to the lowest levels and without flickering at all. It is true that most, if not all, of these dimmers dim the most in the last 25% but that's OK with me as long as they dim to where I need and without flickering. I had 3 LED ceiling lights with 3 ELV dimmers.
