It has nothing to do with a “posi-trac” differential if that is what your intended question in fact was! If your 2001 Dodge Ram is having difficulty engaging the front axle you could have a faulty engager….whether it is an electric motor shift type or a vacuum operated shift type! I am sure there is a kit should this be what you require, however I am not positive if this particular one will fit 2001 Dodge Ram. If you can find the specs.
