This is a high quality stainless steel cup great for making malts, milk shakes for freezes. Fits in most shake machines. Measures 4" diameter 7" height. Dishwasher safe.

Review: Very Good Quality, Durable, Not Plastic - I make a protein smoothie/shake daily for breakfast, and the container included with the immersion blender used is just too small. That container is also plastic, which may shed micro- particles into the shake when the blender is in there mixing stuff up (speculation on my part, but not impossible). In any case this steel one eliminates that possible risk, and also reminds me of the "malts" we used to get at the local shop during the 50s and 60s (yeah I'm old). There are two marks on the interior/exterior indicating I believe 8 and 16 ounces. I find that helpful since I normally use around 12 ounces of soy milk in the shake, and can estimate that amount decently from those indentations. No sign of wear or rust or anything after 4 months of daily use, so conclude that the quality is probably pretty good Overall quite happy with the purchase.

**Q: What is the diameter of the bottom: inside and outside?**
A: Bottom outside is approx 2.700". The bottom inside is 2.658" The bottom of the container is double walled so the two measurements are not necessarily in the same plane.

**Q: how many ounces is the cup?**
A: This cup is considered a 30 oz. cup. It is 32 oz to the very top, 7 oz. to the lower mark and 14 oz. to the upper mark

**Q: Is this cup one piece of stainless or does it have seams that was soldered?**
A: Hi John, Looking inside this cup, there are no soldered seams at all.  If you look at the picture, it does show what looks like a "cap" has been put on the bottom, however it is not soldered on.  I hope this helps.

**Q: HOW TALL IS IT?**
A: The outside is 6 & 7/8 inches tall the inside 6 & 3/4 tall.  I purchased the Kitchen Aid Immersion blender with it and the blender just fits the bottom of the container, but I would leave about 1 inch of space at the top of the container if using that blender with it, to allow for overflow and not to get your food or drink in the housing of the blender.

I detest cleaning traditional blenders and have long made my smoothies in a large beer mug, which is able to accomodate a hand blender. Eventually I learned about this style of stainless steel blending cup, which is safer to use as there is no risk of chipping the glass. I highly recommend using one with a hand blender, if you would rather make smoothies/milkshakes that way.
