## Description

Exo Terra Glass Terrarium Reptile Kit is the ideal amphibian or reptile enclosure designed by European herpetologists. Reptile habitat’s front doors allow easy access for maintenance and feeding. A specially designed lock will prevent escape and the doors can be opened separately. The full screen top ventilation allows UVB reptile light and infrared penetration and is completely removable for easy access while decorating or cleaning. In the back of the screen cover are 5 closable wire or tube inlets on both sides to install Heat Wave reptile rocks, reptile waterfalls, sensors, etc. inside the terrarium. The bottom plate of the reptile tank is raised to mount a substrate reptile heater to heat a part of the extended ground surface. The extra high fixed front window is ideal for thick layers of reptile substrates or reptile bedding (burrowing reptiles), reptile aquarium parts (Paludarium) or to mount a reptile hide den. Review: Perfect for baby crested geckos - My juvenile crestie loves it. Perfect little grow out enclosure. Looks sleek, and is pretty secure. For the money, this tank is a steal. I look forward to adding more Exoterra enclosures as he grows and will probably be upgrading my other crestie to one of these as well. I like the mesh top, hidden latch system for the door, and it just looks so cool with a few small plants and faux orchid. Very impressed for my first front open enclosure.
Review: Nice tank for the price! - I love my tank! I’ve only had it for a short time but when I pulled it out the box I was so happy! It has no damage and it takes up half the space of my old tank. My other tank was on sale and costs about $10 less than this one, but the appearance is no comparison. I absolutely love the front door. It took me a second to figure out the front door and top mesh locks. They are thin plastic and I didn’t want to break them. I saw a lot of people hated the foam piece it came with, but I think it’s a nice touch. I wish it didn’t have the molding impressions because it would actually look pretty realistic otherwise. I thought it was interesting that they design the back to be hollow for tubes or wires to be fed through. I will not be using that but I like that they though of that. I’ll be using my tank for a regular land snail. I haven’t put the snail in yet because it’s laying eggs, but I think she’ll be happier in this tank because it has more ventilation. I appreciate that the bottom is glass because I can keep an eye out for eggs. All in all, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. The only con I see in my personal opinion is that the plastic pieces are cheaply made. However, I will not be accessing them often and I’m okay with being extra careful. I think for the price, this tank is really nice! Update: I have since put my snail in the tank and I’ve never seen it so active! I think the height and vent design keep the inside moist. I use a spray bottle. The water collects on the top screen, which I appreciate! The screen is also very fine, so it’s much harder for gnats to get in. My pet also enjoys climbing on the foam piece that came with the tank. The size is suitable for my snail and would accommodate more. I think more than one of these tanks would look really cool next to each other. **Q: Would this terrarium be appropriate for small spiders?**
A: I would say that depends on the type of spider.  My daughter had an arboreal tarantula, so the 'tall' terrarium worked very well.  But for a terrestial tarantula I'd go with a longer, shorter terrarium.

**Q: How many inches tall is the glass in between the feet of the terrarium and the front vents?**
A: I measured on the outside of terrarium.  It measured 1.5" from bottom of glass to the vents on the trim below the opening door.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Would this be good for hermit crabs?**
A: No, you need at the very least a 10 gallon for a small hermit. Add another 10-15 for each subsequent hermit depending on size. You also need substrate going up at least 3/4 of the tank since it will settle, the door makes it impossible to house a hermit. I highly suggest going to the page Hermit Crab Owners on Facebook. They are not beginner pets by any means.

**Q: Is this good for a chemleaon**
A: It would be good for a baby chameleon. However, it is hardly bigger than a shoebox standing upright.

My juvenile crestie loves it. Perfect little grow out enclosure. Looks sleek, and is pretty secure. For the money, this tank is a steal. I look forward to adding more Exoterra enclosures as he grows and will probably be upgrading my other crestie to one of these as well. I like the mesh top, hidden latch system for the door, and it just looks so cool with a few small plants and faux orchid. Very impressed for my first front open enclosure.

I love my tank! I’ve only had it for a short time but when I pulled it out the box I was so happy! It has no damage and it takes up half the space of my old tank. My other tank was on sale and costs about $10 less than this one, but the appearance is no comparison. I absolutely love the front door. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little tank

Ordered the 8x8x10 terrarium for a grow out for my baby mourning geckos. Obviously only big enough to house them for a couple months but will keep them from getting lost in my main 40 gallon tank until they are big enough. Shipped quickly and was packaged very well so nothing was broken on arrival. For the price I absolutely would order again if I need another.
