## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kid-tested and holding up well to the daily rigors of middle school.

This is the review you need to read, because this case was purchased for an organizationally impaired 7th grader. In the last month or so, it's been beaten and banged far beyond the scope of a year or more in the hands of any adult business traveler - think "baggage handler treatment" for 7-8 hours straight every weekday, complete with hallway races and crashes into poles, lights, buildings ... It has held up fine, better, in fact, than the side of my car, which now bears some (hopefully buffable) traces of youthful spinning and flinging into the back seat. The adjustable handle gets a constant workout because he likes to imagine that he's shifting gears as he slaloms pebbles and leaves, and the click is simply irresistible to a 12-year-old. So, again, it's had more use than any sane adult would put on it in a year; it still slides smoothly and clicks into place with a satisfying chunk. The wheels have been flung headlong into sidewalk cracks, access ramps, gravel, you name it - in both directions. Yes, he likes to push the case when he can because, again, he thinks it's like driving. The stoutness of the frame is such that it nearly flung him bodily over the handle when it hit a massively uneven section of sidewalk and came to a sudden stop. Again, not something you're likely to do. Right? (Even though now you probably want to.) The wheels continue to roll smoothly and track straight and true, and if there are wheel covers, they've remained firmly attached. The zippers have been played with endlessly, along with the TSA lock. I secretly changed the combo on the lock so now he can't accidentally lock the case, so that put an end to that. As to the zippers, I think the novelty has finally worn off. They are very smooth, rugged, oversized zippers, nicer than those on my old Mountainsmith backpack. The internal organization is just the thing for middle school and high school. The problem with backpacks for school, is that they either have too many compartments, so they're hard to use, or there's just one or two big compartments where everything gets stuffed, used gym shorts and sack lunch remains squashed in among term projects and school notices. This case solves that problem very neatly, although it lacks a good place to store a lunchbox other than clipped to the handle.Despite a dry, warm winter here, it has actually been run through some fairly deep puddles; the papers and workbooks inside stayed dry.The seller, Irv's Luggage, shipped very quickly; the case arrived in its original box, well-wrapped with bubble wrap and protective film.I will update at the end of term, which is coming right up. But I have seen kids with soft-sided rolling cases; being just backpacks on wheels they have the same organizational problem backpacks have. I have also seen kids using those crate/cart things that hold hanging file folders. This case is, admittedly, wildly expensive for a middle-schooler, but so far, it has exceeded expectations on organization and fit/finish. If the long-term durability is as good, this is the only case I would buy for really hard use.UPDATE: That this case survived what was left of the term is no surprise, given its price. Despite significant scuffs from curbs and steel poles, it cleaned up great and is ready for another semester. The wheels continue to track straight and smoothly. The interior pockets held up well to being totally overloaded, and the fact that they come out as a unit made cleaning all the crumbs, stray pencil leads, eraser bits, and detritus a breeze: just remove the papers and shake the whole thing over a trash can. Conclusion: this is the best rolling case for a middle school student. And, if it can stand up to that abuse, it can stand up to whatever a sensible adult does with it.

Tough but not easy to roll due to wheels.

It may have 4 wheels, who cares if they don't swivel?

Heys USA Crown III Business Case, Blue

Unfortunately, this case is too small for the amount of files I need to transport for work purposes. But for someone who doesn't need to transport large amounts of files, this would make a great business case., TSA security lock (big bonus), tough/rugged, can handle over packing. Wheels are tough/durable, Telescoping handle works well. Removable divider, so the case easily converts into an overnight/weekender travel case.
