No problem though, just use the belly band portion as part of the handle. The belly band is unnecessary. It was very helpful for my dog. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2019* Product arrived sewed improperly, with the carrying handle sewn "underneath" the mesh. Because I needed the product immediately, I had to cut the carrying strap and sew it on properly so that I could use the product. Using this over a rolled up sheet was more comfortable for me, but the design was not good for an injured german shepherd as it bunched up and slopped around. The design is not suited for sloped backs/hips and deep chests. It did allow for my dog (male) to use the bathroom, but it was by a very close margin.Getting the harness on/off was more cumbersome than I liked and proved problematic with an injured dog when my dog had to go to the bathroom immediately.
