With ergonomic features for easy cartridge handling, full compatibility with all Famicom titles, and a design that showcases your game art, this adapter is a must-have for retro gaming enthusiasts. ## Description The My Arcade Cartridge Converter is an adapter that allows you to play your Famicom games on the original NES system. Its ergonomic grip makes it easier to remove cartridges without needed a pull ribbon. This will work on both generations of the NES console (top loading and toaster-style). All Famicom games will work with this adapter, which also allows the cartridge artwork to be forward facing when attached. Review: It loads games every time! - I originally purchased a Hyperkin Famicom to NES adapter but it was very inconsistent getting it to play Famicom carts on my front loading NES. It fit the system, but would only play a game cartridge after fiddling and adjusting the Hyperkin adapter slightly in the system. The Hyperkin 60 to 72 pin adapter was a lot of work to get a game to play and if you swapped Famicom carts, you'd have to work to get the next game to play. I got tired of that adapter the same day I received it and ordered this My Arcade Cartridge Converter. This one is a huge leap in quality. It feels like solid plastic, the games fit it it pretty well, it sits like a normal game in the system, and best of all every Famicom cart played the first time I tried it. The Hyperkin garbage is going back to desertcart. The only negatives I have about this are: -Longer Famicom carts will not fit in the My Arcade Cartridge Converter. (Splatterhouse Wanpaku, Pizza Pop, Jajamaru Daisakusen, and a few others.) -Famicom carts are a little loose sitting in the adapter. The fact this is functional far outweighs most of the negatives. -Games load right up like a normal NES cartridge. -Fits perfectly in a toaster/front loading NES. No putting your fingers in the slot to line up the adapter. -Famicom carts go face up in the adapter so you can easily tell the game in the system. If you are looking for a Famicom 60 pin to 72 pin adapter for your NES, I highly recommend trying the My Arcade Cartridge Converter. -Update- A few weeks later I have received a couple more Famicom carts from Japan. Those all played perfectly as well. If you are looking for a cheap and fun Famicom cart, I highly recommend Youkai Douchuuki. Review: Very nice adapter. - Works perfectly and is a great design over the typical style with a ribbon pull cord. Fits in the front loader fine and is nice that it’s fool proofed, you can’t plug the 60 pin cartridge in backwards. However, that nice design means that only the short standard size cartridges will fit. Anything in a taller, nonstandard shell will not fit. ## Features - FAMICOM TO NES - Play your Famicom games on your original NES system using this adapter - ERGONOMIC GRIP - Makes removing the cartridge easier; no pull ribbon needed - WORKS ON BOTH NES CONSOLES - Both top loading and toaster-style NES system compatibility - FULL COMPATIBILITY - Supports all Famicom games - FRONT FACING LABEL - Allows cartridge artwork to be forward facing ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07NHHSLG8 | | Best Sellers Rank | #41,146 in Video Games ( See Top 100 in Video Games ) #152 in NES Accessories | | Compatible Video Game Console Models | Nintendo Entertainment System | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (274) | | Date First Available | February 7, 2019 | | Item Weight | 4.6 ounces | | Item model number | DGUN-2975 | | Language | English | | Manufacturer | My Arcade | | Package Dimensions | 7.56 x 6.18 x 1.38 inches; 4.59 ounces | | Rated | Everyone | | Release date | August 4, 2021 | | Type of item | Video Game | | UPC | 845620029754 | ## Images ![My Arcade Cartridge Converter - Famicom to NES Game Cartridge Adapter - NES - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81l9xiw4CnL.jpg) ![My Arcade Cartridge Converter - Famicom to NES Game Cartridge Adapter - NES - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71JJtc8NjjL.jpg) ![My Arcade Cartridge Converter - Famicom to NES Game Cartridge Adapter - NES - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71TRAf1V3BL.jpg) ![My Arcade Cartridge Converter - Famicom to NES Game Cartridge Adapter - NES - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Ecmhxc6lL.jpg) ![My Arcade Cartridge Converter - Famicom to NES Game Cartridge Adapter - NES - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Zp41-PLvL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this pass the upgrade audio from Akumajou Densetsu properly?** A: I don't have the converter or game to test, so it may pass the expansion audio through; however, even if it does, the NES is not equipped to support those extra sound channels without modification. **Q: does this adapter have a CIC chip in it?** A: Unfortunately no. **Q: does this adapter have a CIC chip in it?** A: No it is not meant to allow bootleg games to be played, it is just an adapter for standard carts. **Q: Does this work with taller cartridges like Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti?** A: This adapter will work with most Famicom carts but taller ones can pose an issue. I know I had a copy of Famicom Jump that wouldn't fit, so if your cart is a similar size it will not work. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It loads games every time! *by D***E on October 20, 2019* I originally purchased a Hyperkin Famicom to NES adapter but it was very inconsistent getting it to play Famicom carts on my front loading NES. However, that nice design means that only the short standard size cartridges will fit. Anything in a taller, nonstandard shell will not fit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for most Famicom games, but NOT games with expanded audio *by C***A on April 7, 2024* Title summarizes it. It works perfect for games that *do not* have expanded audio. Akumajou Densetsu/JP Castlevania III with the VRC6 chip will not have any sound. If you get an expansion mod, it will just play through the usual NES audio channels. If you decide to open this up to solder the two pins to properly route the audio, you will still need a hardware mod for the console. I would then recommend getting the NES EPSM mod that just plugs into the bottom of the front load NES. You can just get an EverDrive N8 Pro after that. So if you want to play Famicom games that don't have expanded audio with standard sized Famicom carts, this is all you need ## Frequently Bought Together - My Arcade Cartridge Converter - Famicom to NES Game Cartridge Adapter - NES - Hyperkin Hyperconvert: Universal Cartridge Adapter for N64 - Nintendo 64 - Hyperkin 60 to 72 Pin Adapter for Famicom Compatible with NES --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/144587811-my-arcade-cartridge-converter-famicom-to-nes-game-cartridge-adapter](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/144587811-my-arcade-cartridge-converter-famicom-to-nes-game-cartridge-adapter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
