When Play is chosen, counter remains at zero. My VCR is a Sony so although cheaper ones wouldn't work like my ancient Maxell Cleaner did, I thought this higher priced on would be authentic. I guess I was wrong. I think that if Amazon wants to keep people's trust and business they should not sell things that do not work. We spent over $50 on this tape. That would pay for half a year of Prime or a very nice order from the Prime Pantry.We have not heard back from Amazon or the supplier. Usually I get something IMMEDIATELY.
