I returned it. Do not buy it. **Q: How long does it take to cook white rice?** A: It depends on amount you are cooking. I used the chart provided with the pot to cook some white rice and unfortunately on my first try the pot completely melted before the rice got cooked thoroughly. I do not recommend using this pot for cooking white rice. **Q: Is this dishwasher safe?** A: Yes **Q: Im looking for instructions, in general. Any help?** A: there should have been one small card of instructions - where it said open or closed for vegetables, pasta or rice.
