Well, it is no where near high velocity. Unfortunately the drum aspect of this fan can't help the weak air flow produced by the motor and fan. Like another reviewer stated, at 5 feet away you really cannot feel it much.It's also quite noisy for the minimal air movement. It runs smooth, no rattles or shaking, just fan-blade noise and not real bad but at the amount of noise it's making you'd expect to feel a lot more airflow.Lucky for me mine arrived with a big dent in the side so it's going back. Even with Amazons generous incitement to keep it I didn't feel it was worth the price considering.
