I love the shoe itself. My husband and I take dancing lessons about 3 times a week (salsa, tango, foxtrox, hustle, rumba, chacha, etc etc), and these look EXACTLY like the shoes that the company sells, for a fraction of the price, though they feel a little flimsy. Now keep in mind, you get what you pay for. They fit very comfortably, and the heel size is perfect for comfort. They were made poorly though, all around the edge of the shoe, where the materials were glued together, you can see the glue! White lining against black, so it's very easy to spot. They are also seemingly hard to lace up and make tighter, but that may just be user error.All in all these are great shoes to practice in, and very comfortable to dance in. I have purchased several pairs and am happy with all of the AlmaDanza products. They were a bit more costly than the others but still far less than in a specialty dance store. The sole is suede; the shoes are mesh with suede in the lacing area, as advertised. There is no tongue which was a surprise but it turns out to be a plus because it cuts down on the weight of the shoe.
