A perfect replacement for the original, which had become a little threadbare; we also preferred the choice of colour this time.  This vendor and others give guidance on how to check for the size needed, before ordering.  Not all make it clear whether the width measurement they give is between the tips of opposite ribs, or across the top of the fabric, when the parasol is erected.  Happily, this company include measurements for the distance between the tips of adjacent ribs.  It occurred to me that, for an eight-ribbed parasol, for which the cover is made up of eight isosceles triangles, the width will be correct if the triangle base measurement matches.  Thus, there was no need for me to measure across the top of the parasol, or to stretch between opposite rib tips, but merely check the measurement between adjacent rib tips.

Dad thinks this is high quality, said it was really easy to fit and is very happy with it.  He hopes it lasts the 25yrs the last one did. But he was very pleasantly surprised at the quality

The size is slightly smaller the 3m. Need to stretch it to fit and also need to drill another hole for the stopping pin on the wooden pole. It is not as thick as the original cover, but on the other hand it is lighter.
