The "owl sounds" are more like Halloween sound effects and definitely won't scare off anything besides maybe small children dressed in costumes. (A real owl's call carries for miles and resonates. This sounds fake, tinny and only carries a few feet.) LOL However, it seems to be keeping the rabbits and chipmunks at bay so we'll call it a win. Just make sure you put that thing onto a wooden base because it blows over easily, and plan to move it around periodically or the animals will get used to it. It looks as pictured, but it is only the owl itself is only about 10 inches tall.
