Had a local company come look and wanted to charge $150 to fix, Searched through YouTube for videos with similar issue and found one with the repair instructions and part needed. But once I checked it out more and realized that if I took the worn (stripped) part out of my old carriage this one was the same piece inside. Once I installed the part into my old carriage! Worked perfect! This Carriage was good to go. No issues and looked just like the one I had, my own fault for getting the wrong model one. Would recommend. Also if you are replacing your carriage and you get the wrong one try putting the worn out part in you old carriage! I had the unexpected surprise when opening the garage door and 1/3 of the way as it was opening, it started slipping on the screw and wouldn't open all the way. I disengaged the old carriage with the pull cord and inspected the screw in that spot and didn't see any damage, so I tried to run the opener again to make sure the motor was still coupled to the screw and found no issues there. When I removed the carriage from the track, I found the engaging teeth to be stripped. I was lucky enough that a new carriage was able to be had and it was an exact fit!This saved me the hassle and expense of having to replace the entire garage door opener.
