Am I supposed to attach it or is this defective?** A: Defective. It should come attached. **Q: the date display doesnt change over like suppose too. how does it work?** A: U have to change it manually by pulling stem out. Keep turning the hands it changes date every 24hrs. U may have to turn it many times til u get ur desired date. then set time and press stem back in. **Q: Is this watch water resistant for real? It doesn't say that anywhere on the watch itself.** A: No. I had mine less than 3 mos and took it in my 4' deep pool (4' is equal to 1.2 meters). Watch was dead immediately afterwards. T Other than that, I liked it. **Q: does the paint scratch off** A: Yes, I ended up just scratching the rest of it off and it’s now a bare probably zinc case. The first day I wore it, the pins that keep the watch on the band kept popping out. I sorted that out with glue. The following day the straps that hold the extra band length down both fell of from the friction of putting on a shirt. It falls behind the time after a few hours but when you pull the crown up to set the time the entire watch falls apart.
