Review: Caution they corroded and stuck to stem - I bought these April 2023. They seemed great. Put on both of my cars. Went to check time pressure and they wouldn’t turn. As I turned them using more force I saw the valve stem also turning. Had to use a pliers to hold the stem to remove. Then noticed the inside corroded. Wouldn’t use them again.

**Q: Will these seal in the event of a schrader valve failure?**
A: These valve caps just seal for low pressure, if schrader valve failure, high pressure going out, these can not stop it.

**Q: Will these stay black or will they fade out over time**
A: It looks like these are anodized, which would mean they would keep their color for a considerable time. With a dozen even if they didn’t, you could switch them if they begin to fade

**Q: Will these rust ?**
A: These will not rust as they are made of aluminum. The can oxidize so they need to be kept clean and it won't hurt to spray them with some silicone spray once every few months.

**Q: what is the red thing inside the valve stem for?**
A: It’s a rubber seal… I would assume it’s there to prevent damage to the top of your valve stem if you over tighten it.

I enjoyed the aluminum glossiness look it had but boy did it become a problem. although it looks nice and feels premium, being that it is made of aluminum, it corroded onto my valve stems of my wheels. I found this out when I took my car to Costco to get a rotation. they told me they weren't able to pump air into my tire because they were so stuck that if they tried using force it would destroy my TPMS. Granted I live in rainy/snowy climates. So if you live in more of a dry, arid climate you might be okay purchasing these.
