Works as it should IF you remove the plastic protection sheet *by T***O on Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2023* So I have had this for a couple of years now and thought the remote sucked because we would have to get up real close to the unit to maybe get it to change ports..UGH! Turns out it was USER ERROR. the remote works just fine. We don't switch things all that much but when we do, we, like many people who have complained about the remote on this unit being junk would get frustrated.With the dumb writers strike going on, regular OTA TV choices are getting slim. We have found ourselves going to Roku or Firestick more often and thus getting frustrated with this weak remote.... So last night I told the wife I had had it and I was going to buy a better hdmi switch. I looked up my original purchase and read reviews and several people were complaining about the weak remote.... I got to thinking I wonder if there is some protective plastic cover the IR beam on the remote...or maybe it is dirty...took a look , not plastic and clean....Hmmm? Decided to take a look at the actual switch box and low and behold the little IR receiver and the port indicator numbers had a thin piece of clear plastic protector covering them...peeled it off Shazam! I can’t even believe some of the reviews here *by G***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2021* Reviews stated that people weren’t getting picture. Basically I replaced the power supply and the cord as soon as I got the unit so I would have no power issue with that. I plugged it in using my fire stick my Xbox one my computer my Nintendo switch and my PS4 and have never had a problem using auto switching. It just takes a few moments to change to the input and then to adjust the video signal to the picture quality of the tv/monitor that it’s plugged into up to 1080p as that is what I use but my pc can switch it between 720 and 1080. The remote control is pretty easy to use but only works at a very narrow angle. The remote control is probably my biggest pet peeve about the system, other than that it works great if you put a new power supply and power cord on it instead of the junk one you get with it. I have a switch, Blu-ray player, ps4, and Apple TV box hooked up. There is a 2-3 second delay when switching sources but that is not bad.I have 2 small issues with it so far1. The remote doesn’t respond sometimes. I have held the remote about a foot away and had to push the desired source button 3-5 times for it to switch. I have never been able to use the remote farther than about a foot away. It’s not a deal breaker since you can cycle through the sources using the button on top of the switch.2. Several times, it has switched to a different source without any prompting. I confirmed the other sources did not have the hdmi communication features enabled and were powered off.
