I just recently found out after owning the car for 3 years that the lug nuts had a cheap tin coating over the top of the actual lug nuts. This coating is what made the wheels look pretty as it is a Lincoln with exposed lugs over mags. Why Lincoln would go that cheap is beyond me. I found out because it looked as though the dealer service department rounded off the lugs with an impact wrench. Turned out the actual lugs were fine, it was the cheap tin coating that had finally had its day. These new ones look identical in style but are solid steele and real. No tin over coating. They are what Lincoln should have put on a $55,000 car to begin with.
