I do still use this on my hair but I only use it when I straighten my hair and want a bit of moisture without my hair reverting to it's naturally curly state and occasionally when I want to diverge from using olive oil on my hair after I shampoo and condition my hair to lock in the moisture (as I stated above). I still give this product 5 stars and while I can't say that this in particular aids in the growth of my hair I will say that while using it my hair does look and feel healthy and my growth has not been stunted.
